The Bont Derby Patriot boot is a radical departure from traditional derby boots. The boot is light weight thanks to the construction being comprized of fiberglass and carbon instead of traditional leather. By using modern materials, the boot can be made lighter, stronger, more responsive and heat moldable.
Check out Bont's sizing guide lines! These sizes do not compare to the US men's sizes that are common for a lot of Roller Derby Skates (Riedell, Sure Grip, Antik, ...)
The boot has a 1/4" heel rise, protection around the toes, two velcro straps, is higher cut than the speed and hybrid boots. This model is offered in 2 variations: The Derby Patriot Carbon and the Derby Patriot. Both models come standard with 1.5cm thick, super tough Australian cow hide outer skin and TPU bumpers to protect the front and side of the boot. The padding is a high density memory foam. The Derby Patriot Carbon has a suede-L lining that is extremely soft and it has a carbon base.
